SKELETOUS was born at the intersection of engineering and medicine.

Clinical engineering is at the core of SKELETOUS. Its origins lie in years of collaboration between mechanical engineers, orthopaedic surgeons, researchers, and healthcare professionals who shared a common observation: every patient is unique, yet many healthcare technologies and clinical workflows remain largely standardized. Advances in medical imaging, digital design, 3D printing, extended reality (xR), and computational engineering have created unprecedented opportunities for individualized healthcare, however the adoption of these technologies in everyday clinical practice often remains fragmented, slow, and inaccessible.

SKELETOUS bridges this gap.

We collaborate with surgeons, healthcare professionals, researchers, and healthcare organizations to transform clinical challenges into patient-specific solutions. By combining engineering expertise with clinical insight, SKELETOUS develops patient-specific orthopaedic, oncology, and other healthcare solutions in physical, digital, and virtual forms. Our work spans the entire pathway from medical imaging and digital planning to anatomy visualization and design – simulation – prototyping – fabrication of anatomical models, surgical guides, medical devices, implants & prostheses, and orthotics.

The vision behind SKELETOUS was shaped through years of research, development, and clinical collaboration on patient-specific technologies and point-of-care development of medical devices, bringing planning, design, and manufacturing closer to the patient and the healthcare professional.

SKELETOUS continues to advance this vision through Intelligent Medical Engineering, transforming clinical data into meaningful patient-specific solutions that support better understanding, planning, decision-making, and care.

We envision a future where healthcare is more precise, individualized, technologically advanced, and patient-centred.
